slow business day
On a late morning, I decided to take a stroll along the beach with my camera at Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Apparently the weather was too dreary to attract beachgoers other than this lone lifeguard. After I walked for an hour, I was back where I started. There sat that dedicated lifeguard, still alone.
I felt sorry for him. Should I go for a brief swim to make him feel potentially useful? Should I walk over there and chat with him a bit? However, hunger overrode my charitable intentions. So I took this neat photo and left for lunch.
Is this a picture of someone enduring boredom and loneliness? Or does it depict an individual enjoying a peaceful day at the beach with an unobstructed view of the vast ocean and boundless sky?
Either way, it's a nice place to experience a slow business day.
